The Start of a 12 month project

 This is the start of a 12 month project with Phoebe of Lavender & Lark. I shall be working on an installation that I will install above the window on my landing. It will comprise of the four seasons, woodland creatures, a Green Man and faerie folk! The little people have already started arriving. The first piece is the Faerie door which I'm felting into an old drawer that Phil was using as a tray in his shed. Tess is already checking it out.  I'm working on the tree bark which is very time consuming as I'm felting each piece individually but I'm hoping that it will be quite effective. Finn has taken up residence on the landing and is watching progress with interest!

A gift for my aunt


 This is my first owl and I've named him Barney. I made him for my aunt Sarah's 80 birthday (today). She loves owls and has some beautiful sculptures in her home. She certainly seems pleased with him and I'm proud of him.

And my first time using soluble paper which I felted into to create the wings. I'll certainly be using this material again. I can think of lots of possibilities with it.
